BIO
I am a User Experience major and psychology minor at MSOE. I enjoy combining my interest in human behavior with the creativity of design. I look forward to utilizing a collaborative approach in this interdisciplinary setting to work on projects that let me use my creativity. At my university I am involved with the Society of Women Engineers, secretary of swim club, figure skating club, and a student athlete on the MSOE dance team. My hobbies are figure skating, hiking, bullet journaling, and art.
My Journey to UX
I have always loved art, from charcoal sketches to oil painting; but when I learned how to code everything changed. My dad taught me how to build by first app in 5th grade then I went on to take coding classes with Girls Who Code and attain the NCWIT award in middle school and high school.
Eventually I learned that while I was coding, that wasn't my favorite part about the process, it was choosing the colors for the background of my app, or designing the characters for my game. After realizing how much I loved this aspect of technology I went on a hunt for the perfect career which took me to robotics competitions and campus tours about electrical engineering, where I found the User Experience program at MSOE
